Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe - MOBE Titanium Mastermind Event

7 Days in Dominican Republic – My MOBE Titanium Mastermind & Traffic Summit Experience

Last month I had the chance to spend 7 days down at the beautiful Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. Many of you know that I am an affiliate manager for MOBE and I was there “working” and helping out with the MOBE Traffic Summit & Titanium Mastermind Event. (I put working in quotes because I don’t really consider it work when you’re spending 7 days in paradise at an all-inclusive resort!)

The resort was amazing and it was an awesome trip overall, although it was a little bit tough being away from the family for that long. Luckily we stayed in touch with daily Skype calls, which made it much easier.

MOBE Traffic Summit

MOBE Traffic Summit LogoThe MOBE Traffic Summit was a 3 day event that took place prior to the Titanium Mastermind. We had some of the top earners in the company speak on stage and share their traffic generating strategies & techniques.

John Chow, Shaqir Hussyin, Yannick van den Bos, & Paul O’Mahony were some of my favorites and they gave us all an inside look into how they’ve been so successful not only with MOBE, but their other online ventures as well. John & Shaqir have each earned over a million dollars in just MOBE commissions, and Yannick has earned over $100k in MOBE commissions at the early age of 23.

I have the opportunity to work alongside these guys everyday, albeit virtually, but hanging out with them in person and having a chance to get to know them better gave me an even deeper understanding of exactly why they’re so successful.

Whenever we attend a mastermind event we’ll hear various perspectives on things and different people will have certain strategies that work for them. Essentially there are many paths to success with Internet marketing and our paths & strategies will sometimes be very different. One thing we should always try to focus on is exactly how the speakers & presenters are similar. Finding their similiarties and trying to adapt / impliment those charectaeristics and/or principles is one of the best ways to get the most from mastermind events and ensure that we have a positive impact in our businesses moving forward.

My key takeaways from the 3 speakers I mentioned above and the ways that I saw they were similar are:

  1. They stay grounded. No matter how much money they’ve made online, they’re still down to Earth. That’s not always the case when people are successful, especially in Internet marketing, where success means making  A LOT of money.
  2. They follow processes like it’s a religion. They all came across as being very dedicated to the processes and systems that have worked for them. Again, not all the same processes and systems, they’re unique. But, they stick to them and practice them routinely. (Daily, weekly, monthly, & yearly processes)
  3. They’re always testing. I have a saying “Test, tweak measure, repeat.” Essentially, we should be doing that in every phase of our marketing all the time. Never get complacient. The world of Internet Marketing is always changing and we have to change with it, or else we’ll get left behind. There’s no way to know if you’re doing things the best way unless you’re constantly testing new ways to see if they’re better. Always keep your eyes & ears open to new strategies & techniques and consider implimenting them into your own marketing.

If you’re a current MOBE member, I highly recommend going to the next Traffic Summit if you can make it.

MOBE Titanium Mastermind

The Titanium Mastermind was a 4 day event that kicked off right after the Traffic Summit and the focus over those 4 days was traffic, conversion, and leverage.

MOBE Titanium Mastermind LogoWe had some AMAZING speakers that provided a ton of value and some real high-quality knowledge. Some of the speakers included Kevin Harrington from the TV show Shark Tank and inventor of the Infomercial and founder of the “As Seen on TV” brand. Marshall Sylver, super-successful entrpenuer and famous hypnotist with a hit Las Vegas show. Also, John Lee, Ted Thomas, & T.J. Rohleder to name a few more.

Kevin Harrington spoke during our farewell dinner and really opened my eyes to how simple success can sometimes be, but it all comes down to taking action. (Having connections in the right places helps too, lol)

Marshall Sylver did a hypnosis show with our audience as part of the act and it was incredible! Truly amazing to see what is possible to achieve with the human mind. He’s been creating successful information products for years and teaches other people how to essentially re-wire their thinking to achieve desired results and find success.

I learned a lot from almost all of the presenters, but I think I learned the most from John Lee. He spoke about selling from stage and exactly what it takes to do that successfully. (A lot of this also applies to selling via webinars, and that’s where I’ve applied it the most.)

He covered the 7 steps that he’s used to generate millions of dollars in revenue with his sales presentations. They were:

  1. Engauge Your Audience
  2. WIFFT (What’s in it for them?)
  3. Explain Your Credibility
  4. Teach Them the “How” (Using context, not content.)
  5. Transition to the Sale
  6. Present the Offer (Selling emotions, not features.)
  7. Use a Strong Call to Action (Along with scarcity.)

I took tons of notes while John was speaking, but I’m not really going to ellaborate on these points, you get the general idea. (You’re really better off getting this info directly from John himself if you’re lucky enough to hear him speak someday.)

My biggest overall takeaway from the Titanium mastermind speakers & presenters was the need to establish our own branding in our marketing. It’s really one of the biggest things they all had in common. They’ve focused on building their own brands over time, not necessarily just promoting other brands or companies. We may have to do that at first in order to find success, but the faster we concentrate on building our own brands and establishing ourselves as the expert in our field(s) or marketspace(s) the easier things start to become. It makes marketing so much easier when we’re already successful or seen as the expert. The most successful people in any business have probably been successful in other ventures as well and leveraged that to find their new success. Essentially it just gets easier everytime.

Like most other mastermind events, a lot of the value came from the discussions over dinner & drinks outside of the seminar rooms, not just what was presented on stage.

I highly recommend attending the next MOBE Titanium Mastermind event if you have the chance. I know I’m looking forward to attending another one!
